This cheat will give you the following when you hit Command-Shift-6:
• 255 Rockets
• 255 Bombs
• Maximum Ammo
• Maximum Fuel
• Sets weight to my favorite weight (just lighter than the regular Hellcat without any additional weapons)
To install the cheat:
Use ResEdit to copy the FKEY resource out of 'Leyte Cheat FKEY' into the Hellcats-Leyte Gulf application.
Using the cheat:
Once you are in Hellcats and in a mission, hit Command-Shift-6 and your plane will be given the above attributes. Notice that after you fire many missiles or bombs your plane will become lighter and lighter until it is unflyable. To fix your weight, hit Command-Shift-6 again. Do this as often as necessary for weight, ammo, and fuel.
Memory Considerations:
The Leyte Gulf application only has enough memory reserved for approximately 15 objects (rockets or bombs) at a time. If you launch more than this at once, it will crash your machine. To prevent this, use ResEdit to change the byte at offset $3805 in the CODE 2 resource from $04 to $06 or even higher (like $08) if you want even more mahem capacity. Be sure that the Leyte Gulf application has enough memory too. If you use $08, give the application at least 1,800k.
I expect that this cheat will only work with the same version of Hellcats-Leyte Gulf that I have (v1.0). This is the only version that I have. If it doesn't work on your version, then buy me a recent version and I'll update the cheat.
